MATH-171: Statistical Decision Making was probably one of the most interesting mathematics courses I have ever taken. Throughout the course we first obtained the fundamentals in statistics (descriptive statistics) and moved towards analysis and determination (inferential statistics). I have not had the chance to use my skills from statistics just yet, however, entering into a healthcare profession I know statistics will be a valuable course to have under my belt.
MATH-171: Statistical Decision Making as an Honors course was linked to Principles in Sociology and was tied together in HONS 295. The techniques and fundamentals obtained in MATH-171 allowed me to excel in HONS 295 when it came to gathering our own data and analyzing the data obtained in order to answer a question in which the entirety of HONS 295 was based.
