This ePortfolio included my Course Journals, my Rhetorical Analysis, and my Common Group Project assignment, that I worked on this past Spring 2019 semester on my English 400 Active Citizenship Class. Throughout this course I was required to work on multiple projects that truly had an impact on my academic performance not only in this course but also in other courses. This course has provided me with transferable tools that I will be able to apply in my future professional career. This is because I have learned the importance of the 8 C’s in the writing process. Now I am aware of what are the main points that I need to go over when I edit and review a piece of writing. The ability to identify issues in my own writing has helped present my ideas in a more coherent and concise way. In addition, I have learned that the writing layout and formatting is essential to provide a better delivery and understanding of a document. The format of the document depends merely on the audience being addressed and the objective that needs to be achieved by the author or speaker. Furthermore, the opportunity to present some of the projects I did to my peers, has given me the opportunity to improve my public speaking skills.
