To satisfy Goal 13, I took biomedical ethics over winter intersession. This class consisted of required readings, online quizzes, and a final paper. This was my first online class and I found it to be quite interesting. I found it difficult to learn new material without an in-person lecture or class discussion. However, the power points and articles were very well written and easy to grasp. I was also fond of the class discussion boards, which gave a sense of community and a platform for educational conversation. This was also my first philosophy class and I thought it was quite challenging. It required a different kind of thinking but overall I feel that learning this new perspective has helped me grow in my thought process regarding controversial issues, especially those in the medical field.
