The most recent adventure that the Cormier Honors College has enabled me to partake in was a study abroad trip to Ireland. The trip was organized by the nursing program and was centered around the class “The Nurse’s Role in Global Health”. A group of faculty, peers and myself traveled to Ireland for 10 days in mid-June, 2018. We began our journey in Dublin and ended the trip in Galway. While in the country, we learned about the history, culture and customs surrounding us. Because the class was related to nursing and global healthcare, we were fortunate enough to visit a variety of hospitals and outpatient healthcare facilities in areas surrounding Dublin and Galway. This trip not only made me more aware of the diversity and importance of global health, but inspired me to continue my passion of traveling and learning throughout college and beyond.
