Behavioral or Social Sciences – World History I
History 125 was the first class that I took for my history minor. At first, I thought that the class was about World War I however it was World History I, so that was a little surprise on the first day of class. Overall, I really enjoyed the class. I had previously learned some of the topics that we discussed in high school world history, but this class went in more depth. Unlike any history class I had taken before, this class was challenging. I could no longer fly through the class, I had to study and try hard to keep up my grades.
For the final paper, I had to do an analysis of one of the books that we read in class, Ibn Battuta. The story consisted of the travels of a Muslim scholar around the medial world. Ibn Battuta and many of the other books that I read in this class, I ended up learned about in other classes as well.
