Journalistic writing:  As part of my internship. I was asked to write an article about the school’s lacrosse program and how several of the current and former players have connections to the Boy Scouts of America program. This project gave me a lot of perspective into professional-level journalistic writing was like. I had to update the article regularly to make sure my supervisors were happy with it before it got published.

Internship Experience: I interned at an independent school in Farmville, VA, called Fuqua School. My job was social media marketing and through my time there I completed numerous tasks ranging from writing articles for the bi-weekly newsletters to making videos or completing marketing efforts such as making pamphlets, advertisements, and short videos. I learned so much from my time there and did something new everyday. I enjoyed the quick-paced environment and the challenges and tasks that came about and the methods I used to solve them.

I made a documentary about the school during the course of my internship. I also helped with marketing efforts for fundraising initiatives.
