In Chemistry 114-Organic Chemistry II Lab, my partners and I conducted an experiment testing the effects of bromated parabens. This project was interesting as the summer before this course, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Parabens are link to breast cancer as they bind to estrogen receptors. Through this I was able to understand complex chemical effects as they apply to medicine. This project opened up more interests of pathology to me.
