Through the genome editing research done in Biology 324-Genetics, I was able to understand how genes are encoded and how to edit them. This project was very tedious, but interesting. Genetics was a difficult class for me to wrap my head around but this project helped me do just that.

I remember my partner and I were one of the only groups with data that could be concluded which was very interesting. It helped me understand that not all projects will have conclusive results, but that’s okay. I believe this project help me understand the necessary gene(s) required for mitosis in the cell.
