Reflection:
The purpose of this writing assignment was pinpoint some key takeaway points from each chapter in the book. The importance of this assignment was to write journal entries containing key terms that stuck out or were the most vital from the chapter readings. In the beginning of this class, I felt that it was difficult to only choose three terms from the book and explain the term without citing too much information. But, after writing a couple of course journals it became easier, and I felt like I understood the readings more overtime by including real life examples of how the course terms were implemented in todays society. In my last course journal entry for this class, I chose to investigate the term non-participation because it was currently being used in our society today. For example, some NFL players kneel during the National Anthem as a form of non-participation. These players are silently protesting because they feel as though minorities are oppressed in our country.
