I love Longwood’s and Farmville’s community. Everyone is so nice. Whenever I would eat at D-Hall or in Upchurch before my 8 am classes, I would find someone sitting alone and start a conversation, I even made some friends this way. I loved visiting the Woodlands retirement community and socializing with everyone there. I have only been there a couple of times, but each time was a different and enjoyable experience.
I made a lot of friends by hanging out in Upchurch around the pool table. I spent a lot of time there first semester. I hope these friends will continue to play pool in the Fall. I made friends with the custodians and people working at D-Hall and Greens-To-Go because of my manners and politeness. They always know what I want to eat.
I am a member of several campus organizations: the Jewish Culture Club, Outdoors Club, Longwood Life, D&D Club, Chess Club, and Alpha Phi Omega. Being a member of the Honors College is a completely different experience. I have made so many friends on the Honors Retreat and by participating in other honors-events. The honors community is made up of an amazing group of people with great ideals and passions. I am honored to be a part of this splendid community.
The GAME was amazing. I met a lot of people and enjoyed seeing the people of Farmville as we gave out roses to families and policemen. The club fair was very cool because I was able to meet the leaders of each club I was interested in and continued to make new friends and contacts. I enjoyed talking to other people who share similar interests with me. The Fall Festival was another amazing event where I helped the various clubs in which I am a member. I loved giving back to the community at the Halloween parade and seeing everyone in their costumes. I am happy to be a part of this special community.

This was taken at Devil’s Marble Yard with the Outdoor Club. We hiked for an hour and a half, then climbed up the rock face for another two hours. We came back down after that. We had a great time.
