Dear Lindsey,
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! You’ve made it this far! Just know that freshman you is very proud of all that you were able to accomplish. Take a deep breath, and smile: you’ve got this! I know that a lot of super scary adulting is going to happen, but you can do it.
I cannot see the future, so who knows if you are still on the same path that you (I) think you are going to follow as a college freshman. As a college freshman I was determined to become a residential Real Estate agent. Who knows if we stayed with that plan- maybe we decided to become a teacher, or a lawyer? Only time will tell.
I hope that the principles that Cormier Honors College have taught you have continued to shape the person you have become. I have faith that you will have truly embodied the traits of scholarship, as well as continuing to devote yourself to service and become a part of Longwood’s community. These things will carry with you well past college and through the rest of your adult life.
I will conclude this letter by wishing the best of luck to Senior Lindsey! I know that soon you will be out in the adult world, have to find a big girl job, get your own place to live, and maybe even start a family of your own. Whatever the future holds, I know that you will find success and happiness. I believe in you!
Sincerely,
Me
