For goal 3 I took American Literature.  In this class we explored different works from Poe, Fitzgerald, and Capote.  There were four modules, Early American Authors, Late Nineteenth-Century Authors, Early and Mid-Twentieth Century Authors, and Contemporary Authors.  Because of the way the class was set up we were able to compare and contrast the writing styles of the early authors to the contemporary authors.  Attached is an essay interpreting the theme of The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
