This is one of my favorite classes that I have taken even though it was not what I expected.  I expected a class that would teach me how to teach children’s books to children.  Or, how to take and make a lesson plan out of the book.  This is not what happened.  We looked at books that were not typical children’s books and explored the techniques the writers used.  Because of this class I got to volunteer at the Virginia Children’s Book Festival and meet some of the authors that we read in class.  I also decided to go to Croatia to study children’s culture with my professor because of this class.  Attached is my final paper which is an exploration of multiple books of one of the authors we read in class looking at the concepts we talked about.
