I took this class in the fall semester of 2018. This was my first Spanish class. I had taken 4 years of Spanish in high school so I was already familiar with the language. The class covered a lot of what I learned in high school so this class was very easy. The class covered most basics of Spanish and a lot of history about Spain.
For our final project, we had to find a celebration in a Spanish country. I did this project with a partner and we chose Puerto Rico’s Saborea. I chose Puerto Rico because my dad is puerto rican and I wanted to learn more about his country and background. Saborea is a huge culinary festival that is thrown every year in Puerto Rico. We made a slide show that showed the background of Puerto Rico and the history of Saborea and what happens there. This class helped me understand Spanish more, and to be more fluent in the language and to be able to write it to where it was more understandable.
