I took this class in the fall semester of 2019. I took chemistry in high school and thought it would be interesting to take it again on a college level. This class was separated into units that were primaries and secondaries. A lot of the material was very familiar but I learned new ways to do the math side of chemistry which was really easy.
There were also labs once a week and they were very interesting to do. We used different chemicals, foods, liquids, equipment, etc. to figure out measurements and temperatures for the lab assignments. For one of the labs, we had to see if different solutions and had different absorbance at different wavelengths and how light interacted with matter. I thought this was very interesting because it showed how the spectrum can correlate with the red and blue solutions that we used. We used a spectrophotometer to measure the light and it was intriguing how it could measure the matter in the two different solutions.
