This is supposed to be an introduction, well here goes nothing.

Name is Lawson Baber, born December 7, 1990.  Like most of you, I am attending Longwood University to receive a major in Communication Studies.  I am also going after a minor in business.  I work at the Tractor Supply in Farmville and often feel like I’m living awkward Office Space moments.  My commute to Longwood begins at home in Buckingham county, which is a 45-60 minute drive.  I’m a huge fan of media yet I am not a fan of the majority of garbage that fills it.  If you think Here Comes Honey Boo Boo is a work of geneous or that Justin Bieber and Lil Wayne are artists and visionaries or have an ounce of musical ability, then leave now.

I enjoy finer things as well as not as finer things.  I am a fan of classical music, but I also frequent most sub-genres of rock music, along with a touch of rap and country.  I enjoy comedy to no end and my favorite show is South Park, due to it’s up-to-the-minute satire as well as outrageous stories and plot lines.  I am also a huge fan of How I Met Your Mother because I am also a huge sucker for romantics.

Moving on to my dream.  I wish.. no, no… I PLAN on completing my education at Longwood and going on to join the creative writing team at World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).  For thos of you who say, “Oh, wrestling is fake!” or, “Wrestling is just a redneck soap opera!”  shut up.  Yes it’s staged, scripted and choreographed. THAT’S THE POINT!  My favorite part of a story would have to be characters, something that wrestling is very rich in.  Professional wrestling is a a modern day theater, where these wrestlers, these characters, engage in stories and plot lines that can go on for years at a time.  It requires talent both on a microphone and in the wrestling ring.  As John Bradshaw Layfield says, “This ain’t ballet!”  It requires actual physical strength and endurance. It’s not easy.  This takes strength and this takes precision and this… well this is a beating.

I could go on about professional wrestling for weeks, but it’s a beautiful day and I have other plans today.  Wrestling is still real to me, and that’s the bottom line, cuz I said so.
