Scholarship

Prior to college I was somewhat going through the motions and doing enough to just get into college and do slightly above average. I was mainly relying on soccer to carry my academics and that mindset didn’t change until I came to Longwood. I honestly can’t say what it was but my motivation grew exponentially and my grades reflected that. In high school, I had a cumulative GPA of 3.62 but after my first semester at Longwood, I had a GPA of 3.88. I found myself having a lot more free time in college and as a result, I studied quite a bit. Joining the Honors College gave me the opportunity to push myself and surround myself with other academically motivated students. The spring semester was also successful for me and I got a 3.72. Receiving Dean’s list honors both semesters was a huge accomplishment for me and I plan on continuing the trend for the next 3 years of my time at Longwood.
