Education 487 was all about classroom management.  I took it with Dr. Matthews, whose enthusiasm for the subject keep me, and I’m sure my classmates, encouraged and motivated to do our best work throughout the rough semester.  We went through a variety of topics, such as getting to know our future students, building our toolboxes as teachers with different types of reinforcements and practices, and behavior management, which was Dr. Matthews’ speciality.  I decided to enhance this course this semester, and with the help of Jessi Znosko and other honors students in my course, we were able to set aside a separate honors section of the course, so we each didn’t have to create 4 individual projects at the end of the semester.  Below, you will find a link to our presentation that was available on Longwood’s Digital Commons website for the Spring 2020 Student Showcase.
