Joining the Honors College and becoming a Lancer really has helped me move out of my comfort zone and get out and help people as well as join organizations.  In High School, I was only a part of the French club for 2 out of my 4 years.  During my first year at Longwood, I participated in the 2017 Honors Leadership Retreat and became a member of the newly founded Scooter Club and a member of the Gaming Club at Longwood.  While I wasn’t able to make it to all of the meetings that were held when I signed up, I made it to a few.  It was really refreshing and reassuring, especially with the Gaming Club, to find people who relax and spend their free time in similar ways that I do.
