For one of my General Education goals, I decided to take a History of Rock class.  Despite the monotone professor and, more often than not, uninterested classmates, this was by far the most fun and interesting course I have taken yet.  I loved learning about all the rock groups and bands that I listened to with my dad growing up, and less so the issues they faced.  I attribute my success in this class to the fact that I had quite a large amount of previous knowledge of the rock groups we discussed in class.  For a sample of my work from this course, I have provided you with my Final Paper from this course.  In this paper, I discuss the Beatles using 3 types of resources: a song, an interview, and an article, and a comparison between the Beatles and One Direction.  I had fun dissecting “Yesterday” and looking at each tiny part of it and the different inflections in Paul’s voice for this song.  I hope you enjoy!
