Phil 200: Introduction to Philosophy
This was a very interesting class. Since I chose to minor in Philosophy, this course is required. However, I had already taken a more advanced philosophy class in a previous semester (read about it here!), so this course was more of a review for me. Because of that fact, this course taught me how to apply previous knowledge to a new kind of instruction. While my first philosophy class included multiple writing assignments throughout the semester and was mostly structured around class discussion, this course was focused around class discussion but replaced longer writing assignments with pop quizzes. This forced me to be more prepared ahead of time and keep knowledge stored in long-term memory throughout the semester.
The way we took notes was by printing hand-outs ahead of time and expounding on them during class. I have included one of these handouts here: hand 2_freedom and determinism
