Honors Kinesiology 301: Principles of Therapeutic Interventions

This Kinesiology class was enhanced by my advisor and professor to make it an honors class. This course was writing intensive while also having lectures and projects throughout the semester. We learned about the components of Critically Appraised Topic papers, Evidence Based Practice, and clinical therapeutic interventions. This expanded my knowledge on how to approach different injuries and illnesses in the field and how they should be treated.

Throughout the class we wrote a Critically Appraised Topic paper. This allowed me to research a problem and find randomized control trials and systematic reviews to appraise. I chose to focus on Shoulder Impingement Syndrome. After completing my CAT, I was instructed to further my research by creating a Patient Rehabilitation Outcome Plan (PROP) based on the information I appraised for the CAT. I was able to utilize the research and randomized controlled trials to complete the theoretical rehabilitation program.

This presentation explains and portrays my PROP presentation!
