This project helped me in working with others in a collaborative environment as well as connecting to the first goal of this course “engage in the process of citizen leadership by investigating multiple perspectives on important public issues”. Working with my team and learning new information that I had not before known was helpful in my growth as an active citizen of my community. Not only did we learn about something that has do with my major at Longwood University, being animation, but we got to learn about something new that I have never really explored before. That new exploration was learning about representation of LGBTQ members within animated films. Looking at these films from multiple perspectives, I believe this will help me in my career in developing animated cartoons.
