Fulfilled: Honors Course

In this course, I was provided training for my position as a Residential Assistant. I learned of many issues affecting modern college campuses, and how I could make a difference for my fellow students. Although I am by no means a counselor or therapist, as a teacher I will have students facing challenges of their own. Taking what I learned about handling emotional and mental health situations I can better identify students with unfulfilled needs. Then, I can use my programming skills to provide educational and practical assistance to those who need it most. In the meantime, I am using my knowledge to improve my own mental and emotional health, so that I will be ready to care for others.
