Education 245 is Human Growth and Development. This was the first course in my path to becoming an educator. In this class, we learned all about how a child develops, and the many physical, psychological, emotional, and social stages they reach throughout their first five years of life. I found this course very interesting. I learned that children are often more “developmentally with-it” than we think. My professor was a retired teacher and principal. She provided us with a lot of good advice and strategies to use in our future classroom. I loved that this class allowed me to explore a topic that I love, and in doing so, I got to know more of my honors cohorts.
