Giving Back

I have always loved service and giving back to the community in any capacity. One of the main reasons I was drawn to apply to Honors is because service is a pillar of this program.

Stating that service is a pillar of this program is not for show. Partaking in service started right away during the Honors Retreat. Each group took part in different projects throughout Farmville, my group however cleaned up a community park that sits right outside campus.

The CHC also partners closely with Hull Springs Farm for biannual service retreats. These retreats allow students to partake in service while also partaking in fellowship, this links the pillars of the Honors College together. The CHC team and Honors Student Association are always encouraging us as students to give back when we can with opportunities on campus and in the community.
