Hi! My name is Grace Auld and I am a Nursing Major and apart of the Cormier Honors College, Class of 2022. Once I graduate, I will have my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and once I pass my boards I will be an RN.

Currently, I have just finished my first full year of college and reflecting on my first year. I have learned a lot, in and out of the classroom thanks to the Honors College. I blossomed socially quicker than I thought I would thanks to the Honors retreat that took place in August. I met one of my closest friends and roommate for next year that week, and I can’t help but think that if it weren’t for honors we may have never met.

One of the many reasons why I chose Longwood was the Honors College and the Nursing Program. Both were very attractive to me: Honors would allow me to expand my academic career by taking part in research and studying abroad, while Nursing would allow me to start the program as a freshman (many programs are 2 or 3 years) and finish with a BSN. Looking back on my freshman year, I am very happy with the choice I made.

I cannot wait to see what else Longwood, Honors, and the Nursing Program has in store for me as I continue my college journey!
