For this goal, I completed History 221, the first half of American History up to 1865, in the my first semester at Longwood. I really enjoyed this class, because part of our assignments were to write up a review of two articles that gave differing opinions on the same question. This started to open my eyes to the fact that History is not as written in stone as we may think it is, a concept I am very familiar with now as I come to end my time at Longwood.
