HIST 221: US Hist Colonial-1877 (Historical and Contemporary Insights Pillar)

History 221 was my favorite class for my first semester. I have always had a passion for history, especially American history. This class, even though it was a pillar, was the class that I enjoyed the most. I always looked forward to going to this class because the information provided always intrigued me. Somethings I learned was how to write things down that was on the powerpoint and listen to the information that was being said. The powerpoints were not posted on canvas so if I missed something I had to get the notes from a friend or talk to the professor. Some skills I gained were in the listening department. My professor gave key information by lecturing so if you only wrote what was on the slides you would miss information. I learned that I really had a knack for history and the subject came easily to me. I did very well in this class and I felt like my best piece of work was one of my essays I wrote. We had to analyze a primary document and the first one I ever did was on my favorite piece of American history.

I have left a button to the essay below. All in all this class was great and I enjoyed it very much. I highly recommend my peers to take it.
