Besides the PDSA cycle, we are always improving our RT programming in two other ways. First, we send out family satisfaction surveys every few months to get feedback about the therapeutic recreation sessions. We look at the results to see if there are any areas we need to change, like if families feel certain activities aren’t engaging enough. We then make those changes and measure success by checking if the next survey has better ratings. Second, we hold monthly meetings where recreation therapists share new ideas and review what’s been working well in their sessions. After these meetings, we ask for feedback and keep track of how many new ideas are put into practice, helping us keep the program fresh and improving over time.
