Cognitive Rehabilitation Activities
Goals:
1) Improve Attention and Concentration
2) Enhance Memory Recall
Cognitive Rehabilitation Activities for children with traumatic brain injury (TBI) aim to restore impaired cognitive functions through a program that enhances attention, memory, executive function, and problem-solving skills. This involves individualized activities tailored to each child’s specific cognitive deficits, such as memory games and problem-solving tasks, designed to improve attention and executive function. Administered by a trained therapist, the intervention can include both one-on-one and group sessions, occurring 2-3 times per week, with each session lasting about 45-60 minutes. Depending on the severity of the injury and the child’s progress, the program duration may range from several weeks to months.
