Sensory Integration Activities
Goals:
1. Enhance Sensory Processing Skills
2. Improve Motor Coordination and Balance
Sensory Integration Activities aim to assist individuals, especially children with sensory processing disorders, in effectively processing and responding to sensory information in their everyday environments. These activities involve engaging multiple senses, including touch, balance, sight, and hearing, through structured play and guided tasks. Common examples include sensory bins with various textures, balance exercises using wobble boards, and auditory discrimination tasks with different sounds. Typically, these activities are conducted 2-3 times a week, with each session lasting between 30 to 60 minutes. The specific duration and frequency can vary depending on individual needs.
