Letter to Senior Self

Well Alexis, your first year of college has already flown by. I remember thinking on the first day of freshman year, “Wow, four years left.” At that point four years seemed like such a long time, but I now realize that these next three years will go by in a blink of an eye. You have accomplished many great things throughout this first year. Being accepted into the Longwood PRISM program, earning a 3.8 GPA, and having a successful first year in the softball world are just a few examples of the great achievements you have done.

In thee years when you look at this again, I want you to say that you have joined at least one club and have involved yourself more within not only the Cormier Honors College community, but the Longwood community as a whole. Now that your first year is done you know how to time manage classes and softball, so adding one more extra circular activity  should be no problem.

As of right now I am not 100% sure what career path I would take with a Kinesiology degree. I do know that I plan on training for profession wrestling after I graduate, but I would still like another plan. In three years you will have a lot of experience under you belt and will understand the field and life better, so by the middle of my senior year I want to be able to give a solid answer to what career path I want to take.

Alexis, just keep working hard and your dreams will come true!

Good luck in this thing called life!

-Freshman Alexis
