The dependent variable for this ANOVA was engagement of the child. This was asked on a 0-10 scale. The independent variable for this ANOVA was level of enjoyment. This was asked on a 0-10 scale. For the independent variable enjoyment was measures by low enjoyment (1-4), moderate enjoyment (5-7), and high enjoyment (8-10). The mean engagement for children with low enjoyment was 6.00/10. The mean engagement for children with moderate enjoyment was 8.25/10. The mean engagement for children with high enjoyment was 9.00/10. According to the ANOVA results (F=11.877) there is a significant difference between these means at the 0.001. Therefore, level of enjoyment does influence child engagement.
