Also with my partners Grace Girdley and Payten Bovat, we conducted research and created a report of our findings for a hypothetical client. For the rhetorical situation, we were commissioned by a company to do research into refrigerator websites of well-known appliance companies so they could have models to follow when they develop their own website. We analyzed the refrigerator websites of KitchenAid, Samsung, and General Electric. We judged their websites based on three criteria: visual appeal, quality of content, and ease of navigation. Following our research, we presented our findings, which can be found in the report below, to our hypothetical client. By presenting, we successfully collaborated as a team to present what we had been working on for a few weeks. Then, we answered any questions our client had and defended our recommendations. Although we had some hiccups in our presentation, we were able to recover quickly as a team because we came well-prepared.
