Opening the Facility:

  • Preform opening facility documentation checklist
  • Report any unauthorized and misplaced equipment, and return back to place once report has been made
  • Look for any hazardous situations around the facility (like broken or misplaced equipment)
  • Make sure all pieces of equipment have been examined and checked before any athlete/member uses it
  • Make sure all equipment is plugged in and ready to operate

During the shift:

  • Always check cleanliness of the facility (like all the equipment)
  • Make sure all equipment is operational 
  • Secure floor spaces from loose equipment or clutter
  • Every 3 hours, the staff will have to have a daily walk-through the performance section to do a daily clean up all equipment, floor and mirrors
  • Always make sure the athlete’s/members are using and treating equipment with respect and correctly
  • Set up areas for designated activities

Closing the Facility:

  • Make sure all equipment is in its proper place (fitness equipment and sporting equipment)
  • Clean and verify that all equipment has been cleaned and is in proper working condition through the daily closing facility document (ensures all closing procedures have been done, and if any notes are in place for the opening staff the next day)
  • Look for any hazardous or misplaced equipment

Additional 

  • If any equipment is broken, a report will be made to the chain of command, so it can be fixed or replaced as soon as possible
  • Cleaning of the equipment is very crucial and important within our facility, and we pride ourselves in the health and safety of our facility.
