The Office of Student Research (OSR) offers $500 awards to departments to support events related to student research. These awards may support any activity at the department level related to student research that also complies with general requirements for disbursements (see Policy 4102) and must be used by April 30. Departmental awards support Goal 2 of Longwood University’s Quality Enhancement Plan, “to improve student learning by facilitating student-faculty collaborations in research.” They specifically support Action 2.2, “establish competitive funding for recognizing excellence in faculty mentoring of undergraduate research.”
