My name is Ashlee’ Jones. I am a senior at Longwood University studying Social Work. I will be graduating in May 21, 2022. I have completed over 680 hours as an social work intern at James River Therapeutic Services and YWCA of Central Virginia’s Domestic Violence Prevention Program.
I am in two honor societies including Phi Alpha, which is a national social work honor society, and NSLS, which is the National Honor Society for Leadership and Success.
During college, I worked two jobs while attending classes full-time. These jobs allow for me to gain problem solving skills, customer service skills, and continue to grow in leadership roles. I have a passion to help others and I am open to working with an array of client populations. I have worked with adolescents through education-based programs, which include Claytor Nature Study Center, James River Therapeutic Services, and Bear Creek Academy. During my time at YWCA, I worked with women and children that have experienced/witnessed domestic violence.
