Miscellaneous

I have always wanted to become a teacher, but I just recently made the connection between that and my love of physical activity. As a PE teacher, I hope to inspire young students to grow up loving sports/physical activity as much as I do. I hope to steer them down a path that will result in long and happy lives. My many years of being an athlete and interests in health/healthy eating could be very useful when trying to make a lesson relatable for my students.

KINSLacrosseLesson (KINS 201)

This lesson was planned as an entry level lacrosse lesson. I started off with basic ground ball skills, since you wouldn’t be able to play lacrosse until you’ve mastered that skill. Throughout the lesson I made slight progressions to help the students better their new found skills. I also made sure to include modifications for students that are both excelling as well as struggling.

HealthySchoolsLessonPlan (HLTH 201)

In this lesson plan I created a fun activity to help visually show students how germs spread from person to person. An exit ticket was also created to help assess what the student learned.

AlcoholTopicIntro (HLTH 205)

I had to introduce the topic of alcohol to my class, I decided to narrow in and focus specifically on the hot topic of lowering the drinking age.

Digital Photography (KINS 203)

For this lesson I was to integrate technology in some form. We used iPads to help the students look up the food choices they were making and then decide if they had truly made a good choice or not. This lesson could also help the students to eat better outside of school as well. They could use the information from this lesson while at home and help their family make better choices too.
