Welcome to Karlie Schauer’s electronic portfolio! Karlie graduated from Loudoun Valley High School in 2012 and couldn’t wait to arrive at Longwood. Freshman year Karlie declared a Liberal Studies major in hopes of finally becoming an elementary school teacher. She soon learned though, that her twelve plus years as an athlete and her love of keeping active would be better suited in a gymnasium. As a physical education teacher, Karlie hopes to guide students into a healthy and active lifestyle. Introducing children to physical fitness and health early on which help make it easier to become a lifelong routine. Karlie also hopes to use her Longwood education to help her become a little league lacrosse coach, and help children the way her coaches helped her through the years.
