Session I (May 24 – June 27), Online
-ENGL 210 Introduction to Digital Writing (Dr. Green): Practice writing in digital spaces while studying the impact of audiences, purpose, context, and genres. (Double-dips as a Civitae pillar.)
-ENGL 470 Professional Writing Skills (Dr. Guler): Study strategies for effective communication in the workplace, including client communications, document design, crafting persuasive or bad-news messages, and using promotional language to market your ideas, products, and services. (Fulfills a requirement for the English major.)
FALL 2022:
-ENGL 210 Introduction to Digital Writing (Dr. Guler): Practice writing in digital spaces while studying the impact of audiences, purpose, context, and genres. (Double-dips as a Civitae pillar.)
TR 12:30 pm – 1:45 pm OR TR 2:00 pm – 3:15 pm
-ENGL 319 Technical Writing (Dr. Green): Study how to create documents that clearly and concisely convey complex, technical or scientific information to targeted audiences, demonstrating effective visual and verbal elements. (Fulfills a requirement for the English major.)
–ENGL 305 Special Topics in Rhetoric/Prof Writing – “Rhetoric of Apology” (Dr. Lettner-Rust): Examine the genre of apology in various settings ranging from interpersonal communications to popular culture and public policy. Study the rhetorical strategies used in apologies and assess their effectiveness.
TR 2:00 pm – 3:15 pm
