Philosophy

School leaders exist to support their students, families, staff, and school communities. Leaders can only truly achieve this goal by building relationships. Through on-going collaboration, communication, and needs-assessments, administrators can best identify the specific goals and needs of their school communities and work to help those goals become a reality.

I believe that every child can be successful and every child deserves a high-quality education. Hands-on, differentiated learning experiences can provide our students with the tools they need to be successful both in the classroom and in their day-to day lives.

This can be accomplished through providing teachers with the tools they need to best support their students. Goal setting, monitoring, professional learning communities, mentoring and coaching of teachers can improve teacher morale and performance which ultimately makes for a happier and more successful school family.

I believe that families are a child’s first and primary educators. Schools are only as successful as the relationships they build with families. The communities in which our students live also shape their experiences. Connections should be made with these communities to optimize student learning and growth.

School Vision:

Administrators and staff will work collaboratively with students, families, and community members to create a learning environment in which every child is challenged to become the best version of themselves. The school will nurture its students’ development while providing high-quality instruction following researched based practices. Administrators will empower teachers to make instructional decisions that align with their own professional judgements and the mission and vision of the school.
