LSEM 100: Longwood Seminar

In LSEM 100, we attempted to get better acclimated to college life and to lay a greater framework for a productive college experience. We were encouraged (required) to seek out some of the opportunities that Longwood had to offer. I attended Rock the Block, joined the gaming club, and found a place to play disc golf behind Lancer Park. While I believe I would have utilized the opportunities of Longwood without LSEM 100, I think it helped other students in the class find some communities to join at Longwood.

The most beneficial part of LSEM 100 was developing my Four Year Plan. I am now at ease every class registration since I have planned out my time here. The Four Year Plan encouraged me to think ahead to when I want to study abroad and to start working towards finding research opportunities and to also think ahead to graduate school.

Below is my artifact of the class. It was my final reflection on the book we were asked to read. While I did not enjoy the book, I was able to find enough silver linings to fill the paper.
