Reference for the Longwood University Social Work Program application

“I am delighted to write this letter of support for Max Feuti. I have known Ms. Feuti as my
student in the Intensive Beginning Language and Culture (Fall 2019), and Intermediate Integrated
Language and Culture (Spring 2020) courses from the Foreign Languages and Literatures Program in the
Department of English and Modern Languages at Longwood University. In my thirteen years as a
language and literature instructor and professor, I have seldom encountered such a talented student.
She has shown herself to be a very creative, mature and dedicated student. She earned the highest
grade possible in my previous course and demonstrated admirable performance, revealing an
outstanding enthusiasm for learning and exhibiting a true motivation towards academic excellence.
As an undergraduate student, Ms. Feuti’s performance displayed punctuality, discipline, and leadership
in the classroom environment. She inspired her peers through cooperation and her passion for learning
during class assignments and other activities, consistently displaying a high level of maturity and
adaptability. Her compositions and exams presented for my language and culture courses exceeded
expectations and demonstrated a successful acquisition of the language and an extraordinary level of
critical thinking and creativity. Her written work is always very thorough and of excellent quality.
I believe Ms. Feuti is an outstanding candidate because of her strong interest in pursuing her academic
goals. As her second language professor at Longwood University, I witnessed her participation, among
other achievements, and I am convinced of her intellectual capacities and abilities to complete all the
necessary requirements for the Social Work Program. I recommend Ms. Feuti for your program in the
strongest possible terms.
This is the most accurate assessment of the student that I can offer at this time.”
