Brochure

Reflection

In this assignment, we were tasked to create a brochure to interest people in our product. This project was completed in a group. Objective number four, “participate productively in collaborative projects,” was achieved. Our group worked very well together and spent equal time on the project. We had a fun time laughing when brainstorming ideas for our product and decided to create a fictional sound-proof paint which was called “The Proof.” Outcome number four was also achieved through this project which was “create professional documents that use design principles.” This objective presented difficulties throughout the project. My group had technical problems that made it hard to present the brochure in an organized way so that it followed the design principles. For example, the theme we chose for the brochure had specific fonts and layouts we did not want to use. However, we used resources such as YouTube to help us navigate through Microsoft Word Brochure and were able critique the layout. We also used the textbook, Business and Professional Writing: A Basic Guide, as a reference for the design principles for a brochure. Overall, I feel that this project was a success and it helped me to work with people that had different ideas than I do and, learn professional design principles.
