Both questions are close-ended which will be easier for students to answer. They are both clear, concise, and easy to understand. They are both unbiased questions that avoid using negative items.
When doing survey research you want to have a clear reason for doing it. Having large samples, and a well written format helps a survey become more clear. You don’t want to have randomized ordering or starting with sensitive questions, these will all create a reasoning for people to turn away from the questionnaire and not answer anything. As well, before you send out your official survey, it is important to have people test it out to make sure it flows well and questions make sense. Going back and checking the questionnaire as you go through each stage is incredibly important as you don’t want it to sound biased in any way.
