As an incoming freshman, every student is required to take a one-credit course called Longwood Seminar. This course is essentially an introduction to college life, Longwood, and Farmville. Personally, I did not get a whole lot out of this class, though I can see how it would be useful for other incoming students. Since my mother works at Longwood and I have lived in Farmville almost my whole life, most of the class was old news to me. Still, there were a few Longwood services that I learned about and a couple college tips and tricks I picked up. I’ve attached a short journal I wrote for class about Longwood’s traditions.
