The correspondence page presents the Persuasive letter and Bad News Letter assignments given during the course. I practiced professional writing formats and using persuasive appeals such as logos, pathos, and ethos in writing. I was able to produce these documents with the intention of using them in the workplace. We were tasked with analyzing examples from our book and the internet to help. Within the documents, the context used is plain English and there is a focus on having clear and concise writing. During the creation of the persuasive letter, I understood that using data from previous elections would help bring attention to my point. The data was based on actual research and helped in that rhetorical situation. I was inspired by the interest I have in the topic of national voting day and the passion I wrote with is apparent in the text. I called to attention the logos, that come with presenting data in text, and pathos the appeal to emotion.
