Scale of 0-10 (0 being not at all, 10 being a great amount)
What survey question will you use to operationalize your independent variable?:

Using information from class, explain why these are good/well written questions: These questions are well written because they clearly ask what is needed for both the independent and dependent variable. These questions also give respondents clear and complete answer choices. For example, the dependent variable question uses a scale ranging from 0-10, with 0 being not at all and 10 being a great amount. The independent variable uses various answer choices to describe the respondent’s level of education. These question also only take up on line and are no cluttered together, as well as using the same font.
Discuss best practices for survey research: I think the best practices for survey research is the ordering of questions and using the same format throughout the survey so that the person taking the survey does not get confused or irritated because they cannot clearly read the questions. I also think that using easier, less intense questions at the beginning is better because it does not turn the person taking the survey away. Also making the survey short is a better way to get responses because people will be more likely to take the survey.
