Reflection

For this assignment, our professor assigned us to groups to make things more collaborative. In the professional world, it is important to have collaboration skills. Having these skills build social skills and help you trust others when working professionally. For the assignment, our professor told us to create a product or service and display it on a brochure. Brochures make it fun and easy to learn about a product or service and all of its benefits. My group and I decided to design a product that workout lovers dream of. We designed workout equipment that bands around your arms or legs that adjust weight. These make it easy for people to stay home and use equipment without having to worry about going to gyms during the pandemic. We used our creative minds to design an easy to read, but interesting brochure. In class we discussed the 8 C’s and the AIDA format. This consists of persuading an audience through attention, interest, desire, and action. We also applied the three rhetorical persuasions. I struggled with this assignment in terms of creativity when we were designing the brochure template and formatting the information. This is when I found it helpful that it was a group project. I turned to my group for help to successfully do as needed and create the visual appeal of the brochure. This assignment taught me the importance of teamwork and helped me see that I can overcome the challenges I might face in a professional setting.
